Our team is over the moon with gratitude to our community, who pushed our Indiegogo campaign to 100%. Thank you for committing to help us create nuanced, complex and challenging narratives for actors of color. We can't wait to begin shooting. Stay tuned for the launch of our website- in the meantime you can learn more about the project HERE.

'The Other One' Shooting Begins
Production has officially begun for Trenchmouth Production's 'The Other One,' written and directed by Jay Leonard. I had a great time shooting last weekend- after teaching On Camera Technique at T Schreiber Studio this past winter it was great to get back in front of the camera! Filming continues through August 2017.
'by wing, fin, hoof or foot' finishes to sold out crowds!
Many thanks to everyone who helped make The Ume Group's 'by wing, fin, hoof or foot' a reality. This was my first piece as the Artistic Director of The Ume Group and I couldn't have asked for more brilliant, inspired collaborators. Enjoy these production photos by Ryan Camarena, check out full show details on The Ume Group's website and take a peak at this interview with Amy Gijsbers Van Wijk for Culturebot about the piece.
12 Week Physical Theatre Course at The Ume Group
I'm thrilled to be co-teaching The Ume Group's 12 Week Physical Theatre Course with Yokko from February-April 2017. In this course, students work to grasp the fundamentals of the company's 3 primary disciplines: yoga, butoh and devising. The variety of technical, analytic, meditative, and creative course components are aimed at creating for each student a deeply embodied understanding of critical concepts for the physical theatre such as energy lock, active stillness, whole body listening, soft landing, neutrality, embodiment, resonance, ensemble play and more!

'how do we belong together?' presented by the Garment District Arts Festival/ Chashama
October 20th & 21st from 12-2p. Chashama's Performance Art on the Plaza. Location TBA.
'how do we belong together?' places pairings of people in front of the authorial eye of passersby. Spectators are asked to anonymously narrate a relationship between the subjects based solely on appearance. Through The Ume Group and their extended network of acquaintances, Keelie Sheridan explores how the bodies of performers and civilians communicate meaning through simple movement. 'how do we belong together?' is a celebration, interrogation and meditation on perception and assumption in one of the world's most diverse cities.

Occupied- A Collaboration with Colm McNally and Valentin Peter Eisele
"And now you’re here. I saw you. The camera saw you. And by the way, might I add, you all look terrific. You really do. You look happy. You look together."
He turns to take a selfie with the audience. Flash.
"I was there, too. I mean, I am here, too. Now. With you. The camera saw us. We’re happy. We’re together. We’re a part of something. And I have proof. "

"Wasteland" Collaboration with Valentin Eisele, Ciara Murnane and Bill Woodland
I had the opportunity to collaborate with three of the MFA Theatre Design students on an evening of design showcases inspired by T. S. Eliot's "The Wasteland." It was a different approach to creating performance than I've engaged in previously; using design as the leading element and developing narrative and performance from the visual concept for the piece.
I worked with Valentin Peter Eisele on a piece inspired by this portion of the poem:
If there were water
And no rock
If there were rock
And also water
And water
A spring
A pool among the rock
IF there were the sound of water only
...
But there is no water
I worked with Ciara Murnane and Bill Woodland on a piece inspired by this line:
My feet are at Moorgate, and my heart
Under my feet

Trinity College Dublin/ The Lir
I'm just over a month into my residence in Dublin and studies at The Lir/ Trinity College Dublin. The Tiger Dublin Fringe Fest and the Dublin Theatre Festival have provided infinitely fascinating viewing opportunities and I've been submersing myself in the city (and country)'s rich theatrical talent. I'm very grateful to the US Ireland Alliance for the George J Mitchell Scholarship which supports my year in Ireland.
