Trinity College Dublin/ The Lir

I'm just over a month into my residence in Dublin and studies at The Lir/ Trinity College Dublin. The Tiger Dublin Fringe Fest and the Dublin Theatre Festival have provided infinitely fascinating viewing opportunities and I've been submersing myself in the city (and country)'s rich theatrical talent. I'm very grateful to the US Ireland Alliance for the George J Mitchell Scholarship which supports my year in Ireland.

George J Mitchell Scholars Announced- Hint: You Know One!

It still feels a bit surreal. I'm thrilled to announce that I've been selected as one of the twelve 2016 George J Mitchell Scholars from across the US. I'll be traveling to Dublin in the fall of 2015 to pursue my MFA in Theatre Directing at Trinity College's The Lir Academy. To say it's an honor is an understatement. Each year the US Ireland Alliance sponsors the George J Mitchell Scholarship which sends students with outstanding scholastic achievements, commitments to their communities and contributions to their fields to Ireland for a year of post-graduate study. There has only ever been one other CUNY student to receive this award- I'm honored to be representing Brooklyn College and the CUNY system internationally.
